It
was on 19th June 1966 that SHIVSENA, an organisation striving for giving
justice to the youth, was born.Shivsena wanted to work for the downtrodden who had no savior
and who have been looking for somebody who shall raise their voice. Utmost
love towards Motherland and constructive social work have been Shivsena's
goals. Therefore, Shivsena taught the youth to be self reliant, strong and
dedicated to the cause. Instead of relying upon the government to do
something, it preached the message "Your Hands
are hands of God. Work and you shall succeed." Shivsena always
fought against evil traditions, illiteracy and casteism.
Shivsena's 'HINDUTVA'
is not related to RELIGION. It is related to NATIONALITY.It
is Shivsena's belief that whatever may be our religion, whatever may be our
form of worship, our culture is Hindu. We are a national force. Hence we say
with pride that we are Hindus.
Shri Thackeray, a
hard-core Nationalist,
formed ShivSena which stands out distinctly from other stereo-typed
political parties, identifying itself with the aspirations of the people
giving emphasis on social service rather than on political motives. A
generation devoted to social reforms has since emerged in Hindusthan in
general and in Maharashtra in particular.
An outstanding orator, Shri Thackeray has been educating the people, specially
the youth on environment, drug-addiction, casteism and appealing to be strong,
fearless and worthy sons of the motherland. His party Shivsena soon spread
wings over the entire nation with his vision and crystal clear thoughts on
true nationalism. As and when the psuedo-secularists of the country tried to
appease the minorities in Hindusthan and thus ignored the rights and feelings
of the Hindus, Shri Thackeray went ahead to hit out boldly in the interest of
the nation. He believes in the theory of 'Justice to
all and appeasement of none'.
Shivsena came to power in Maharashtra in 1995 a leading and strong state of
Hindusthan, with its alliance partner the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).Shri
Thackeray now looks forward to take his saffron flag over to Delhi, the
capital of Hindusthan.Today, the Shivsena is the only of its kind to
run 300 ambulances all over the country. Shivsena has also formed a unique
center for old and aged people called Ramadham Ashram, in Raigad district.
He enjoys the distinction of addressing gigantic public meetings, drawing not
less than 1 lakh audience, comprising mostly youngsters. He has promised to
build houses for 40 lakhs slum dwellers,of Mumbai free of cost with a view to
make the city free from slums.Spectrum of organisations and institutions
founded by Shivsena are working creatively under the guidance of Shri
Balasaheb Thackeray.
